Criminal Trial Attorney Award

Presented to a criminal law attorney whose career-long accomplishments demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Commitment to excellence in the practice of criminal law
  • Practice and promotion of the ideals of advocacy with outstanding preparation, commitment and energy to clients rich and poor, powerful and well-known, or helpless and unseen
  • Leadership in the community and legal profession, mentor to new attorneys and counselor to colleagues
  • Respected by judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys; and
  • an outstanding example upon which all lawyers should model their professional practice.

The San Bernardino County Bar Association is now seeking nominations for this prestigious award. Eligible candidates can be defense or prosecuting attorneys from the public or private sector.

The inaugural presentation of the award will take place at the Installation Banquet on
October 9, 2008.
